As I see the sun glimmer on the water,
My mind wanders back to the formless
Like a drop of rain from the starry black sky
Merging into the vast infinite ocean,
Then I am here again
In the inescapable
Prison of love’s beauty.
Although I laugh,
I spent my sleepless poignant days
Drunk with sorrow.
Like the crashing waves along jagged
Rocks or a furious ocean in grey storms,
For how is it
I can swim?
For each silent moment,
I question the beauty of it all,
I question the sorrow of it all,
I watch the ocean.
